The staycation industry has seen a boom in recent years and many travel experts believe that will continue as long as UK holiday companies continue to offer value for money and keep the whole family entertained. One Great Yarmouth holiday park that manages to keep families entertained while offering value for money is Haven Seashore Holiday Park.
There are lots of Great Yarmouth caravan parks, but Haven Seashore has been described as one of the best. Seashore Caravan Park or Seashore Haven as some people call it, is located right on Great Yarmouth’s beachfront, and about four minutes from Britannia Pier.
After receiving lots of emails about Seashore Holiday Park and seeing all the positive reviews, I decided to visit the Great Yarmouth Haven holiday park to see what all the fuss was about.
I have visited lots of holiday parks in Great Yarmouth and around the UK, and some of those experiences were not pleasant. Even though Haven has a good reputation, I was not sure what to expect from my Seashore Holiday Park review. Like all the reviews of holiday parks I undertake, I went to Haven Great Yarmouth with an open mind.
Seashore Holiday Park Review
When my wife and I, and two dogs arrived at the Seashore Holiday Park in Great Yarmouth, straight away I could tell it was a Haven Holiday Park. Forget about the Haven sign ‘Welcome To Haven Seashore Caravan Park’, the big giveaway that I had arrived at the Great Yarmouth Haven Holiday Park was the manned security gate.
It annoys me how lots of UK holiday park owners don’t care about security. I could name more than 200-holiday parks in the UK where you can just drive onto the site. I have never been to a Haven Holiday Park that didn’t have security manning the entrance.
The second giveaway I had arrived at a Haven Holiday Park is how friendly the Haven team were. As soon as we arrived at the security gate, the security guard welcomed us with a smile, and the team who giving out the caravan keys and information were very warm and friendly. After a long drive, it was so refreshing to see happy faces.
Talking about the welcoming committee at the Seashore Holiday Park security gate, it’s so refreshing that you are given your keys and information as soon as you arrive. One thing I hate is having to go to reception and queue up for your caravan key. And with my experience, you are handed your key by someone behind a desk who is fed up with saying hello to holidaymakers. It really does save time getting everything you need as soon as you arrive at the security gate, so whoever came up with that idea at the Haven head office, we all thank you.

One thing that I was dreading to be honest, was how Seashore Haven was laid out. As mentioned, I have visited lots of holiday parks all over the UK and some look great from the outside, but when you enter the gates and drive away from the entrance, it looks like a budget holiday resort where the grounds are not looked after, and the caravans are thrown together. However, the Haven Seashore Holiday Park was not like that.
Unlike many other holiday parks, I have visited, it was obvious that the Seashore Haven team took pride in their holiday park. As we drove around the park looking for our caravan it was nice to see a holiday park that was well cared for and for everyone to be smiling and not regretting the holiday park they have booked. Trust me, I have been to many holiday parks where people could not wait for the holiday to end.
When we arrived at our caravan which was 12 Longshore, we were amazed at the size of our holiday home for the next three days. Caravans are so deceiving. On the outside, they look small but on the inside they are big. It was like entering Doctor Who’s Tardis. There was everything that you could possibly need for a comfortable holiday.
It didn’t take us long to unpack and venture around the park. We were surprised at all the great places you could go and grab something to eat. On-site, you have a Burger King, Papa John’s, Coast House restaurant, and the Cakery. I knew when I saw all these great places that over the next few days I would be piling on the pounds. It was also great to see that Seashore caravan park had a supermarket.
Coast House Restaurant
The Coast House Restaurant was added to the Seashore Caravan Park in 2019. It is situated next to Shore Water Park. What I loved about this venue is not just the great food and the friendly team, but also that you could use a Haven App to order direct to your table.
It has a lovely outside area where you can either go for a meal or just have a nice drink, which was great for our dogs. It is so nice to have an area where you can relax with your dogs and have a nice drink or a meal if you want to.

The Coast House serves everything you could possibly want which includes fish and chips, burgers, and lasagne. The prices are much more affordable than many holiday parks I have been to which is nice. There was nothing on the menu that I thought was overpriced. There is also a great children’s menu which will even help those parents who have fussy children.
One thing that I love about Haven holiday parks is how they cater for holidaymakers. Lots of holiday parks just have lots of caravans and little for the whole family to do. But Haven is different. Seashore in Great Yarmouth has everything from an outdoor play area, amusements, swimming pool, Creative Studio, and Vertical challenge, to an entertainment venue where you can watch the entertainment team perform and professional acts. There is so much to do for the whole family on the Seashore Holiday Park that I would be here all day listing them.
Haven is known for being a family-oriented company and they are also known for having a great team. Everyone we came across from cleaners, and the entertainment team, to security were all very friendly. As mentioned, I have been to lots of holiday parks, and I have never seen so many happy people who are there to keep you safe and entertained. It was a refreshing change from holiday parks where the staff looked like they don’t want to be there.
Another thing I like about Haven holiday parks and what makes a visit to Haven Great Yarmouth a treat, is the investment they put into their holiday parks. Some UK holiday parks are run on a budget. And what I mean by that is, they spend little on maintaining or updating their parks. However, Haven is different.
Haven seashore holiday park has changed in recent years. More than £6.5m was spent updating the popular Great Holiday Park. The Seashore Caravan park new pool opened in 2019 and instantly became a huge hit with holidaymakers. The Shore Waterpark caters for young and old with slides and flumes and a splash zone for the little ones.

Things To Do At Great Yarmouth Seashore Haven During The Day
There’s lots of things to do during the day at Seashore Holiday Park for the whole family. Some of the more popular activities include archery, crazy golf, bowling alley, swimming pool, a climbing wall and if you are a thrill seeker then you have something called the Leap of Faith. It involves being tied onto a rope and jumping off a platform. Sorry, but that is not for me.
There is your normal amusement arcade, and a soft play for the little ones, and a sports court. What a lot of children love is the Mario Kart virtual reality experience. To see all the facilities available, please have a look at the bottom of my Seashore Haven Review.
Things To Do In The Evening At Seashore Holiday Park
In the evening you will not get bored. You have lots of places to go for a nice family drink and of course you have the great entertainment. Some nights the entertainment is put on by the Haven entertainment team, and other nights, professional acts visit Seashore Haven to wow the crowds.

Places To Eat At Haven Seashore Holiday Park
It was no nice to see that Haven Seashore caravan park had lots of options available when it comes to grabbing something to eat. Some caravan parks in Great Yarmouth I have visited are very limited on choice. But, at seashore they have a Papa Johns which was my fav, and they also have a Burger Kind, and the Coast House. You will be spoilt for choice.
For someone who loves the beach and the sea, I was pleasantly surprised that the Seashore Holiday Park has direct access to the Great Yarmouth Beach. It is a stunning view and a lovely walk for dog owners. My dogs loved it and everyone you passed greeted you with a Hello and a nice smile. The only thing that could have made my short holiday even more perfect was to have one of the caravans overlooking the sea.

Seashore Holiday Park Review Conclusion
When I agreed to do the Seashore Holiday Park Review I did not expect it to live up to all the hype. However, I was very surprised that it not only lived up to it, but also went far beyond. It is a lovely holiday park in Great Yarmouth that provides the whole family with everything they need for a great holiday.
Seashore Caravan Park has everything you could want from a UK holiday park. With so much to do during the day, and during the night, it makes for a wonderful, fun holiday.
Would I recommend the Seashore Holiday Park in Great Yarmouth? 100% yes.
