Best Turkish Restaurants In London

If you are looking for Turkish restaurants near me in London, or looking for the best Turkish restaurants in London, then keep reading on. I have put together what I believe to be the best Turkish restaurants London has to offer.

There are more than 18,000 restaurants in London, many of them are Turkish restaurants. If you love Turkish cuisine, then you need to visit one of the many Turkish takeaways or Turkish restaurants in London.

With more than 350,000 Turks calling London their home, it comes as no surprise why more London Turkish restaurants are takeaways are opening their doors. But it’s not just Turkish people who love great quality cuisine. Each year millions of people who visit London for a weekend away or a holiday, head down to their favourite London Turkish restaurant.

If you have never tried Turkish food, then you are missing out. For me, you can’t beat the good quality, authentic Turkish food. Like with any type of cuisine you have great restaurants, good restaurants, and not so good restaurants. I have put together what I believe are London’s best Turkish restaurants.

Best Turkish Restaurants in London

Tarshish, which is located at 16-22 High Road, Wood Green, London N22 6BX, is, in my opinion, one of the best Turkish restaurants in London. It is not just about the food, it is also about the service, the atmosphere, and the stunning views the North London Turkish restaurant offers. Tarshish is spread over two floors overlooking Wood Green High Street.

As soon as you walk through the doors you are made to feel very welcome. With a blend of Turkish and Mediterranean grills in a beautifully designed restaurant, it is no wonder why it has become a huge favourite with those who love good quality food.

Nothing is too much for the team at Tarshish. They want each of their customers to receive a high-end dining experience. With such delights as braised lamb shank, butter beef fillet, and jumbo prawn platters for two, and not forgetting mouth-watering charcoal-grilled dishes, it’s no wonder why Tarshish is so popular.

If you want to experience some of the best Turkish food in London, then you do need to try Tarshish.

Kazan

Another great Turkish restaurant in London is Kazan which is located close to Westminster Cathedral on 93-94 Wilton Rd. It continues to receive five-star reviews on Trip Advisor and brings the best of Turkish cuisine to London.

Kazan, which provides a cosy, elegant setting offers customers a private dining option. They offer a selection of seafood, mezzes, salad, vegetarian, vegan, slow-cooked, and fire-grilled delights. I would suggest you try the Ottoman Grill. This will send your taste buds alive. It is a selection of chicken and lamb shish and kofte with a chicken thigh and lamb chop, which is marinated until tender and served with rice or chips.

Kibele Restaurant and Bar

best turkish restaurant in London

When we compiled our list of popular Turkish restaurants, there was no doubt in my mind that Kibele Restaurant and Bar would be in our top four of the best Turkish restaurants London has to offer.

When you walk through the door you are welcomed like an old friend. The restaurant which is on 175-177 Great Portland St, London W1W 5PJ, offers a selection of traditional dishes from various Turkey regions. They bring the old with the new by adding a modern twist to traditional dishes.

What I do like about Kibele Restaurant and Bar beside the excellent Turkish food is the lively atmosphere. They provide live entertainment which includes live music and of course belly dancers. It is truly a great night out.

There is a lovely selection of drinks available from beers, wines, spirits, and cocktails that accompany a nice range of starter plates. One of my favourites is the Turkish style dumplings.

Rüya London

If you are looking for the best Turkish food in London then head down to Rüya London which is located at 30 Upper Grosvenor St, Mayfair, London W1K 7PH. It is an experience you will not forget.

Ruya is a huge Turkish restaurant in Mayfair that specialises in refined and nice tasting Anatolian dishes. The restaurant is so big that when you walk into Rüya you cannot see the other end of the room. To be honest, I have not been to many Turkish restaurants like that.

The popular London Turkish restaurant has a nice bar area and three separate kitchen areas. If you are not hungry by the time you reach your seat with the lovely smells coming from the kitchen and the tables, then you will be once you look at the menu.

Rüya is what Turkish food is all about. They work with local suppliers to make sure their food is fresh. They create Anatolian dishes from the Black Sea to the Mediterranean. What I love to order is the grilled Dover sole.
