Apple Market Covent Garden
One of the best things to do in Covent Garden is a visit to Apple Market. It was built in the 1800s. It is filled with wonderful independent stalls that sell everything from jewellery, and small gifts, to antiques.
The Apple Market which is open 10 am – 6 pm Monday to Saturday, and 12 pm to 6 pm on Sunday, is home to the UK’s first Moon Moomin Store.

Neal’s Yard
Neal’s Yard was my wife’s choice as one of the best things to do in Covent Garden, and I must agree. It is a magical place to visit. It was developed in the mid-1970s by the founder of the Whole Food Warehouse, Nicholas Saunders.
When you visit Neil’s Yard and Street, you could be anywhere in the world. It is colourful and magical. It is a treasure trove for great little shops and amazing food.
I love my coffee, and my wife loves her tea, and when we visited Neal’s Yard and Street, we were spoilt for choice. You can get drinks from lots of different countries around the world, and all types of food from African dishes.
With lots of indie shops and cafes and colourful buildings, it is one of the best places to go in Covent Garden.

Royal Opera House
The shops in Covent Garden are not the only reason why people visit this wonderful place. Covent Garden is a great place to be entertained, and one of those places to be entertained is at the Royal Opera House.
The Royal Opera House may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but you should experience it at least once in a lifetime. They put on amazing opera shows and ballet. I would recommend checking their website before you travel so you know what is on. It is one of the best things to do in Covent Garden.
Although opera isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, there is something really special about seeing a performance at the Royal Opera House. Truth be told, even if it’s not opera (and you’re more into ballet) the Royal Opera House is easily one of the best things to do in Covent Garden when you visit.

London Transport Museum
The London Transport Museum may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but the kids will love it. You will learn everything about the history of London’s transport, including the history of the world’s oldest underground network.
The London Transport Museum is located near Apple Market. Even if you don’t think it is one of the best things to do in Covent Garden, and don’t have children with you, then it is a great place to visit when it rains. We all know the weather in London can be unpredictable.

I love my food, and one of my favourite places to have some amazing food is in Covent Garden. London has some amazing restaurants, with some well-known chefs, but if you have not tried the restaurants in Covent Garden then you are missing out.
There are different types of food available in Covent Garden from seafood, and French Food, to international cuisine.
Cocktails in Covent Garden
One of the best things to do in Covent Garden after you have had a nice meal is to have a cocktail. Who doesn’t like a cocktail?
There are lots of great places in Covent Garden for a cocktail from Eve Bar, Mr Foggs, to Blame Gloria. A visit to Covent Garden for cocktails makes a great night out for family and friends.
See A Show
When I travel down to London, I always make sure that I have a show booked. For ideal weekend when I visit London is a visit to Covent Garden Market, a couple of drinks, and then to see a show. And, after watching a West End Performance, I then like to go for a nice meal. That is my perfect day and night out.
There are more than 20 theatres in and around Covent Garden theatre lovers some of the best shows in the world. If you are planning a visit to Covent Garden and the West End, then please make sure you book your show beforehand.
Although there are many theatres around the UK, there is something special about seeing a show in the West End.

If Covent Garden shopping is your thing, then you must visit Jubilee Market. My wife like most wives thinks it is the best thing to do in Covent Garden. For you men out there, if your wife drags you around all the shops, then make sure your phone is fully charged so you can watch the footie.
You can visit Convent Garden, London without bringing home some souvenirs. Jubilee Market in Covent Garden is the best place to get some souvenirs for loved ones. There is a stall for everyone here.
Seven Dials Market
Seven Dials Market opened in 2019. If you enjoy food, and DJ evenings, then Seven Dials Market is one of the fun things to do in Covent Garden. Some say it is the best food market in London.
Before becoming Seven Dials Market, it was a banana warehouse. Now, it is filled with food stalls, providing great food from around the world.
Cecil Court
Cecil Court has not changed much since the 17th century. If you could jump into the future, then those living in the 17th century who visited Cecil Court now, would not notice much difference.
If you are a book lover, then you will love Cecil Court. It has lots of different bookshops. It is a great place to visit when looking for things to do in Covent Garden.
St Paul’s Chruch
St Paul’s Church which was built in 1631 is one of the most famous landmarks in the world. It is a 17th-century church that is commonly known as the actor’s church due to its long association with the theatre. A fact for you. The first recorded performance of Punch and Judy was held here back in 1662.
The church which now has its own in-house theatre is open for visitors from 8:30 am to 5 pm on weekdays, and 9 am to 1 pm on Sundays.
St Paul’s Church is located at Bedford Street, Covent Garden, central London.
London Film Museum
The London Film Museum is another fun thing to do in Covent Garden. London has lots of museums, but this one is one of the newer ones. As well as being one of the new museums in London, it is also one of the newer Covent Garden attractions.
Inside the museum which opened in 2008, you will see lots of great costumes and accessories that were used in famous films. You will also learn about the making of films.
If you are a James Bond fan like me, then this will be one of the best things to do in Covent Garden for you. You may have some convincing to do with your partner, but it will be worth it. Since 2014, the London Film Museum has been home to a temporary exhibition of vehicles that were used in the James Bond films.

It is just two minutes from Covent Garden station, and here you will find some great comedy acts as well as a drink in a lively bar. It is reasonably priced, and a is a great place to go to for family and friends.
Dinner and Drinks at Rules
Rules was established by Thomas Rule in 1798 making it the oldest restaurant in London. It has become a Covent Garden institution.
When you visit Rules in London you can expect traditional British dinner cooked to the highest standard. This is a great place to go for a romantic meal in Covent Garden.
Upstairs at Rules, you can expect some of the best cocktails in London. This is the ideal place to go after watching a show in the West End
A Meal at Clos Maggiore
Another great place to eat in Covent Garden is at Clos Maggiore. It has been written about many times and is considered to be one of the most romantic restaurants in Covent Garden and London.
It is a magical place for couples to go. You can enjoy French contemporary meals, and if you are looking to propose to your partner, then this is one of the best romantic places to do it.
Steak and Cocktails at Hawksmoor
Another great place to eat is at Hawksmoor. If you love steak, then this is the Covent Garden for you. It is a British steak and seafood restaurant in Covent Garden. As well as enjoying great food, you can also get some great cocktails here.
Don’t be surprised while you are having your meal that you spot a celebrity at the next table or coming through the doors.
Covent Garden Social Club
If you are looking for some reasonably priced cocktails and drinks in Covent Garden, then the Covent Garden Social Club is for you. It’s a great place to go to after work or with friends for a cheeky drink before heading out.
The Escapologist Bar
Covent Garden, London has lots of great places to go for a drink. For me, this has to be one of the best places in Covent Garden for a great night out.
You can enjoy a nice drink with friends, or a cheeky cocktail. It has a great atmosphere, with a delicious menu.
