We Want To Provide You With UK Travel Inspiration

Our UK travel blog travel team is on a mission to get you to pack your suitcase and give you travel inspiration to show you that you don’t have to travel abroad for a great family holiday.  With our UK travel guides, travel hacks, and travel tips, our UK travel magazine team wants to show you how exploring the best of Britain staycation locations, can be more fun and more affordable than travelling abroad.

Since the COVID pandemic, the number of people who are now preferring UK travel has increased. More than fifty per cent of people living in the UK are now using UK travel guides and travel hacks to explore the UK for a more affordable holiday.

COVID made tens of millions of people think differently about their lives. People started to think about their careers, relationships, and where they lived. Other people started to appreciate UK holidays and found themselves putting together a Great British bucket list of UK holidays.

It’s not just people living in the UK that want to see the best of England. More than 41 million people travel from abroad to explore the UK. With the increase in the number of people travelling to the UK from abroad, and the number of people who live in the UK wanting to have a staycation in the UK holiday, UK travel blogs and UK travel magazines have become more popular.

The pandemic opened people’s eyes to what the UK has to offer. As well as thinking of the best UK holidays that were available, other people started to realise they haven’t explored their home country. The search keyword Great Days Out In England, and where to go for a family day out in England increased during and after the pandemic. Now, more people are finding the wonderful days out near them as well as the great days out in England that they have never thought about.

When people think about great days out in England, they think about Blackpool, Southport, Southend-on-Sea, Great Yarmouth, Brighton, Skegness, and Torquay to name a few. But they don’t think about places like Snowdonia National Park, Manchester, The Lake District, London, Newcastle, and Liverpool for a great day out in England.

Why I Started My UK Travel Blog

I love to travel. My travel inspiration has always been abroad, especially in European destinations, but I have never really explored the UK. Ok, I have been on a couple of holidays in my childhood to places like Morecombe, Blackpool, and Devon, but during my adult years, I have never packed my suitcase and thought hey! Let’s have a UK holiday.

Before the pandemic, I had a bucket list of places I wanted to travel to around the world. But, as mentioned, the COVID pandemic changed people’s outlook on life, and it changed my outlook on UK travel. I realised that there were lots of places that I have never visited in the UK and found I had not explored the best of Britain. I started a travel journal and then I put together a Great British bucket list of places I wanted to visit. It is a long list.

One problem I found during my research of where to stay in the UK, and the best UK days out for families was the lack of information. I wanted to find places to add to my Great British bucket list not just for me, but for my family. When I searched the Internet for UK travel blogs, most of the UK travel blogs were not blogs for UK travel guides, instead, they were blogs about travelling abroad. I needed a UK travel magazine or a travel UK blog that would inspire me and provide me with information on places to visit in the UK.

There are some great blogs out there for people wanting to explore the UK including The Outdoor Guide with Julia Bradbury, who I admire, and who is one of the reasons why I started my UK travel magazine. But I wanted something that would inspire me and my family and I could not find that.

My Great British bucket list inspired me to launch a UK travel blog so people could come with me on my journey of exploring the best of England’s seaside towns, and those forgotten seaside towns we visited as a child. I also want you to see that a UK holiday is not just about going to a UK seaside town, there are many great places to visit in the UK for a family holiday that is not near the sea.

There are so many great places in the UK to visit for a family holiday including country breaks, city breaks, and river cruises. You don’t have to stay in a UK hotel for a great family holiday, there are lots of other accommodation you can stay in. That includes guest houses, and caravan parks, and you can also go camping.

As well as showing you great places to visit in the UK for a family holiday, I am going to show you travel hacks on how to make holidays in the UK more affordable. So, pack your suitcase, and read my UK travel guides to learn about the best of Britain.
